Facebook Connect Wordpress Plugin 1.0

(Thanks to Axel from my-guides.net)
- Para evitar problemas con otros plugins que utilizan las librerias de Facebook, a partir de esta versión se evita cargarlas si se detecta que ya han sido cargadas.
Change log:
- Multilanguage support (spanish and english for the moment, any help will be appreciated)
- Widget and CSS personalization. Copy fbconnect_widget.php and fbconnect.css to your wordpress theme directory. (Thanks to Axel from my-guides.net)
- Solved problem with Facebook libraries already loaded by other plugin.

That’s a great plugin. I love social media applications that talk with each other.
I am having an issue with not being able to logout. Anyone else experience this.
i would love to see a wpmu apliable version of this plugin. Is there any idea for a hack to get this working? I have discusting login-problems….
[...] As we move forward on Liberaland, we are always tweaking and and advancing ways to make this portal as dynamic as possible. We’ve now integrated Facebook, so that if you are on that service, you can log on here and share content via Facebook Connect and stay interactive with your friends at the same time. Special thanks to our webmaster, Jack Kratoville, and to Facebook Connect developer Javier Reyes. [...]
I’m having some problem configuring applicatio!
Anybody monitoring this?
update: tested in Safari – works great – no error.
hi there. Great plugin.
I’m having an issue after user logs in, then clicks ‘invite your friends’.
While I do get sent to : fbconnect_action=invite, FF is throwing ‘browser is null’ error.
from XdCommRe….debug.js (line 96);
I removed calls to jQuery incase it was some kind of conflict, but didn’t help.
Any thoughts?
It doesn’t work with WordPress MU.
No funciona con WordPress MU.
I really would like to see this working on WordPress MU….is anyone working on something lika that?….
Would thi work for WordPressMU?
Thanks
Ok, it seems i Fixed the above mentioned problem by switching off SSL. However my first problem is still not fixed:
- I can’t get the minifeed-function to work in Safari.
Oddly enough, in here Safari doesn’t mind publishing my comments to Facebook’s minifeed. However not on my own blog.
It’s only with Safari, I have this problem, though.
- When inviting, and the Facebook-window appears after selecting friends, some of the window is hidden behind my sidebar. I have added to the invitefriends.php as it threw my sidebar down at the buttom of the screen before. But now this problem occurs in stead.
Hi Javier!
When I use Internet Explorer to enter my site http://www.mikael-lemberg.dk on which I have installed your plugin, it comes up with a security alert:
“To help protect your security, Internet Explorer has blocked this website from displaying content with security certificate errors. Click here for options…”
Some of my visitors say that this prevents them from logging in, while others are able to do so despite the error notice.
I don’t get this error-message when visiting your site, so obviously I must be doing something wrong with mine. Have you got any idea what that might be?
Is there any news about a wordpress mu plugin?
Good Work!!!1
Hi Diana,
you need to modify your header.php theme file:
Hi! I just installed the plug-in on my Wordpress 2.7 blog. The ‘Login using Facebook:’ feature doesn’t appear to be active. It simples includes the text ‘Login using Facebook:’ and doesn’t not link through to any actions.
How can I fix this error? See http://www.stepner.com/wordpress
Thanks
Hi. Congratulations for your great jombs.
I have to write because I need a big help!
I have correctly installed fb connector on my blog based on wordpress mu and buddypress, I can log in with facebook user and psw, but it doesn’t work as in your site.
I explain: after log in, I can view among last users the new user entered with facebook, but I can’t see profile or logout button. I view only “invite friends” option.
I have to log out manually writing on the address bar http://…./?fbconnect=logout.
It logs out, but now I can’t access with my normal user, I have to erese manually my cookies from Firefox.
Please, can you help me???

Hola Javier,
Is this plugin supposed to replicate my WordPress posts over to my Facebook wall? I’d like to see such a feature implemented.
Oddly enough, in here Safari doesn’t mind publishing my comments to Facebook’s minifeed. However not on my own blog.
It’s only with Safari, I have this problem, though.
Great plugin! Thanks a lot!
However, I do have two problems:
- I can’t get the minifeed-function to work in Safari.
- When inviting, and the Facebook-window appears after selecting friends, some of the window is hidden behind my sidebar. I have added to the invitefriends.php as it threw my sidebar down at the buttom of the screen before. But now this problem occurs in stead.
Can anyone help me solving this problem? Otherwise a perfect plugin!
Se puede pasar el widget al castellano?
Can you add a way to associate existing wordpress accounts with a facebook profile?
