Facebook Connect WordPress Plugin Configuration

Installation and configuration videotutorial:


1. Log in to the Facebook Developer application: http://www.facebook.com/developers/

2. Create a new application, more info: http://developers.facebook.com/get_started.php

3. Upload the `fbconnect` folder to the `/wp-content/plugins/` directory

4. Activate the plugin through the ‘Plugins’ menu in WordPress

5. Configure the plugin through the ‘Facebook Connector’ section of the ‘Settings’ menu

6. Use the Facebook App info (step 2) to configure the plugin

7. Create a new template for comments.

8. Activate the Facebook Connector widget from the ‘Design / Widtgets’ menu.

9. Important: If you dont see the Facebook Connect login button and the user photos (on IExplorer), you need to modify your “header.php” theme file:

    i have tried fbconnect for my blog, and when i try to active fbconnect plugin, i have some error like “Plugin could not be activated because it triggered a fatal error.”, can u help me for solving this error?

    i’m using WordPress 2.7

  2. i have a question, i have edited my profile in wordpress, but this information is not showing up on the front end when clicking my profile photo.

    it only displays:

    {MyNameHere}
    Status:
    Name: admin
    Nickname:
    Member since: 2008-12-23 03:59:57
    URL: {myUrl}
    About me:

    User comments

    ——-

    None of the IM/Email/Name/Biographical info is being diplayed – is this just cause i am an admin?

    I can get this plugin to work :( Is there a support forum ? I get the following error : Templates not synchronized with Facebook, write the templates text and press create templates! … It seems that the video tutorial is different then the actual setup on facebook. I am also using wp 2.7 is that a problem ? I am so excited about this plugin and would love make it work. can you help ?

  11. Tengo un problema, sigo los pasos al pie de la letra, pero despues cuando el boton aparece en mi site y pincho, me muestra este error debajo del login de facebook :

    Que puede ser? A alguien le ha pasado?

    El receptor URL de conexiones de Facebook entre dominios (ARG-(url)) debe tener la aplicación de la URL llamada (llamada-(url))http://www.davidzafra.com como un prefijo.
