3. Upload the `fbconnect` folder to the `/wp-content/plugins/` directory
4. Activate the plugin through the ‘Plugins’ menu in WordPress

Plugin Download and more information

Hi Anderson,
you need to check your theme (comments.php), see FAQs (4):
http://www.sociable.es/facebook-connect-wordpress-plugin-faqs/
Hi again.
I currently have Gravatars. How do I get the comment avatars get integrated with the plugin?
Thanks
Hit it right on the head.
It works
Thanks a LOT mate.
Cheers
Hi Anderson,
check your footer.php theme file: if don’t have a < ?php wp_footer(); ?> line
Add it before the end body tag:
Hello
I am unable to get the plugin (specifically the FBConnect button) working, under any browser. Both FF and IE fail me.
I have adjusted fbml in header, but nothing helps.
Please check out http://www.sc2blog.com and see for yourself, the bottom right widget.
Help.
Thanks
Cheers
So a couple of things; all of the language that comes up for connecting is in Spanish? How do I get it into English?
Also, I want there to be ONLY a ‘Login using Facebook’ option; IE, I don’t want to see the ‘Already a member?’ Loging, which logs in directly with WordPress.
Mike
Hi Mike,
current version (1.0) don’t allow to configure the Facebook application canvas as FBML, but you can change to iframe (from the Facebook application configuration: http://www.facebook.com/developers/ -> Canvas Settings/Render Method).
The next plugin version will allow to use fbml and create a Facebook application wordpress theme, diferent from the main blog theme (Preview: http://apps.facebook.com/sociables/ )
When I go to the application on facebook, I get this error:
Errors while loading page from application
Parse errors:
FBML Error (line 60): illegal tag “body” under “fb:canvas”
There are still a few kinks Facebook and the makers of mikefrancois.net are trying to iron out. We appreciate your patience as we try to fix these issues. Your problem has been logged – if it persists, please come back in a few days. Thanks!
Hola Javi:
I am getting the same error at Eric Leonardo when you click the facebook button
The Facebook Connect cross-domain receiver URL (http://jefferyclark.net/WordPress/wp-content/plugins/fbconnect/xd_receiver.htm#fname=_opener&%7B%22t%22%3A3%2C%22h%22%3A%22fbCancelLogin%22%2C%22sid%22%3A%220.227%22%7D) must have the application’s callback url (http://www.jefferyclark.net) as a prefix. You can configure the callback url in the application’s settings.
Any Ideas?
Hi Jason,
yes, you can create the template with the Facebook tools:
http://developers.facebook.com/tools.php?feed
and then activate it from the plugin configuration (if you can see the list of templates).
Hola BruNET,
en las FAQs puedes encontrar el código que necesitas (punto 1):
http://www.sociable.es/facebook-connect-wordpress-plugin-faqs/
si tienes problemas comentamelo….
Gracias a ti por usar el plugin y otro abrazo
I can’t get the template creation to work. Can I manually create the templates in the Facebook Dev app?
Hola Javier:
Tu pluggin es impresionante
enhorabuena
