Facebook OpenGraph WordPress Plugin Configuration





1. Download the Facebook OpenGraph WordPress plugin

2. Upload and unzip the plugin in the `/wp-content/plugins/` folder

3. Activate the plugin through the ‘Plugins’ menu in WordPress admin

4. Go to the plugin configuration wordpress menu.

5.Create a new Facebook Application, using the Facebook developer application.
Step 1: Accept the permissions dialog.

Step 2: Press create button.

Step 3: Select a name for the applicacion (Your site name).

Step 4: Configure your site URL and domain.

Step 5. Configure the Canvas URL and App Namespace (needed for the new invitations system, Facebook Request 2.0):

From the WordPress plugin admin (main options), you can select to redirect the Facebook canvas url to your site.
If your site support HTTPS, also configure the “Secure Canvas URL”.

6. Use the Facebook App info to configure the WordPress plugin (Application ID and Secret).

7. Activate the basic Facebook social plugins (like, activity and recommendations).

8. Activate the Facebook user login and registration, and sends comments to Facebook.





9. Important: If you don’t see the Facebook plugins or login button and user photos (on IExplorer), you need to modify your “header.php” theme file:

    Call to undefined function add_theme_support()

  4. very strange, 2.5.2 is working for me. but with the new version 3.0.3 i have only problems.

    after i press login with facebook the login button doesnt dissappear.
    when i can log in i just get crazy userdata like name: E E email: E and so on.

    any ideas whats the problem?
