Hi Javier,
Thank you for your hard work on this awesome plugin.
I noticed that no attachment/photo is published when publishing stream to Facebook. Is that because fb_stream_publish() is still using the old REST API at http://developers.facebook.com/docs/reference/rest/stream.publish (which Facebook is in the process of deprecating) and not the Graph API and POST a Post object at http://developers.facebook.com/docs/reference/api/post
Cheers,
Chris
Thanks Chris,
I will update this functions, and change the send comments to Facebook…

Please Ankit, send me the error and your blog url
I am sorry… i just replied again here.. http://www.sociable.es/facebook-wordpress-plugin-3-0/comment-page-8/#comment-78292
I have never been here before. Where the heck am I? Dumb girl I know. What do you discuss here? I could tell you a story!!! But hey, I will just leave this and see what happens…?
It is against Facebook policy to require someone to like a page for incentive such as a download or prize. Just fyi you are violating facebooks developer principles and policy guidelines.
The Facebook promotions policy allow to use the “liking a Page” to access a content:
http://www.facebook.com/promotions_guidelines.php
4. You must not condition registration or entry upon the user taking any action using any Facebook features or functionality other than liking a Page, checking in to a Place, or connecting to your app. For example, you must not condition registration or entry upon the user liking a Wall post, or commenting or uploading a photo on a Wall.
All the Social marketing platforms use this feature:
http://northsocial.com/apps/fan-offer/
http://www.involver.com/applications/
Sweet. I was trying to set up a similar feature on my website and I thought you couldn’t do that based on the DPP because it says:
IV. Application Integration Points
You must not incentivize users to use (or gate content behind the use of) Facebook social channels, or imply that an incentive is directly tied to the use of our channels.
nice
Is it possible to desable the comment section per post? For instance; I want to disable comments for post ‘x’ how do I do that?
Edit your post, activate de “Discussion” module (Screen options), and now you can activate/deactivate the comments for the post.
So I’ve had to resort to try deactivating and deleting the plugin and reuploading it with the newest version. I am unable to login via Facebook or comment with the plugin. It will not connect properly and the comments don’t function either when active.
Also the Login button doesn’t do anything when it used to in the previous version but after the 3.0.8 version.
Hi Steven,
the new plugin version (4.2) support OAuth and the new Facebook SDK.
have you tested the new version?
Is the current version 4.2 support Oauth2.0?
I read from http://www.insidefacebook.com/2011/07/21/javascript-sdk-oauth-2-0/, oauth : true is required to enable Oauth2.0, like,
FB.init({
appId : YOUR_APP_ID,
// other parameters,
oauth : true
});
So, I wonder?
Yes Simon,
the new version (4.2) support OAuth 2.0.
If you have problems with the new version, send me your blog url, and i will try to help you.
Fatal error when trying to activate in wordpress, graphene theme.
When will be a newer version release which support Facebook Oauth2.0 ?
Yeah I think this is all of our problems now. Facebook killed the old way so the plugin is useless now.
To sad to hear this. Our website lots of functions are based this plugin, could you suggest upgrade route?
In fact, the new released 4.2 version works for oauth2.0 as I test, though some new features are still under improved.
1)Logout function failure to work sometimes
2)The first time the user load the page, the server php dont have the Facebook session
But as I know, the authors are working hard on these.
I’m unable to log out as well… having this problem even on this site (I should be logged out of facebook at the moment, and logged of of sociable.es). Makes testing difficult, for starters…
